TESTIMONIES

We spent 5 very profitable days with John & Linn in a quiet place away from our normal routine.  The aim was to review and pray over our many years of service in SE Asia.  They led us in brief Bible studies followed by in-depth assessments of the stresses/losses we had encountered during those years.  After time in prayer we sensed God directing us in some important decisions related to family and ministry matters.  We ended the debrief giving to the Lord the burdens we still have been carrying.  John & Linn are excellent listeners and their own experience in ministry overseas helped them connect well with us.
"I didn't think I needed debriefing personally, but I wanted to serve fellow missionaries as a debriefer, so I went through with it. Little did I know how much I needed debriefing of my many years on the field and subsequent years upon returning home. It was a huge surprise to me how helpful this week was to me." -A former regional missions director
"Although I'd been in the US for over a year when I came to the LeRucher debriefing, I still had much pain in my heart from events which had happened overseas. I was grieving many losses and couldn't seem to make much forward progress in my "next steps'. As I went through the week of sharing my story and spending precious time with God, He was able to show me anew the super abundance of the finished work of the cross. I experienced deep healing by entrusting it all to Jesus my pain bearer. I left my bleeding heart on the cross and received peace and grace in the place of pain." -Missionary from the Middle East.
"I was recently asked, 'What have you learned as you have transitioned back to the USA"' One of my top two answers was that it should be standard operating procedures that missionaries receive a full debrief every several years, instead of waiting so long as we did! And certainly when transitioning back, 'home'. "
We had five missionaries at our Group Debrief Retreat last week in North GA and the Lord ordered so, so many details throughout it!  In one case the gal had been struggling for five years after a traumatic time overseas. She had gone through counseling and many ups and downs, but at the debrief last week she saw some real breakthroughs and was able to move on and begin thinking about her future. We are still amazed at how the Lord arranged for her to be there, provided the finances, set her up with just the perfect debriefer and most of all, how He met her right where she needed to be met!   (May 2015)
“You have been such an encouragement to me.  Just seeing there is a place like this for missionaries to come to and have as a resource is wonderful.  My time with you has been relaxing and refreshing.  Having a listening, caring, understanding ear to talk to has helped me so much.  I will alwarys cherish this time.  The Lord has given me peace once again in the craziness.”   Testimony from  E.  (Dec 2014)
