Debriefing is designed to create time and space in a person’s life so they can unpack and process the experiences which they have had, especially while overseas. These experiences often impact their lives, their families and their relationship with God in ways they are not even aware of. Debriefing helps to bring health, resilience, and new vision, so that individuals flourish in the environment in which they serve.
MRC encourages missionaries who have been on the field for more than 5 years to attend a Debriefing Retreat, even if there has not been any unusual event or trauma. This is a 5-day event in which they are debriefed individually and have lots of time to spend with the Lord, but also have times of corporate teaching and worship. It is so important to get time away to hear afresh from the Lord and to hear what others are receiving from the Lord too.
If one of the group debriefs does not fit your schedule, an individual debrief can be arranged.
Contact MRC and ask for an application if you are interested in being debriefed.
John and Linn are both certified Debriefers through Le Rucher, a ministry that specializes in missionary care. Find out more about Le Rucher below.

Debriefing retreats for seasoned, career missionaries, singles and couples:
LE RUCHER EAST COAST
All of our Debriefing Retreats are directed and supervised by Le Rucher East Coast (LREC). LREC is an association of debriefers, all of whom have been trained by Le Rucher Ministries in Switzerland (www.lerucher.org) in how to use the Le Rucher model of debriefing. All of the debriefers have at least 5 years of cross-cultural ministry experience (most have much more than 5 years overseas experience) and have good listening and relational skills. In addition to that, they have all attended a week of debriefing training plus at least three more weeks of direct, supervised involvement in leading a debrief.
